Abran "Aronic" Maldonado is a lyricist/poet turned music industry veteran, scholar and public speaker. Abran is a true performer, his presence on stage is a fusion of Hip-Hop, spoken word poetry and theatrical performance. He is currently working on his PhD to improve education for at-risk youth.

Biography

Abran "Aronic" Maldonado has taken his unique talents and experiences and found a way to amalgamate them all to address the needs of inner city youth. Born and raised in the Lower East Side of NYC, Abran is a lyricist/poet turned music industry veteran, scholar and public speaker. A member of the band 'Nine Leaves', he has also maintained positions in radio, music publishing and artist management, facilitating the careers of Hip-Hop stars such as The Game, Gucci Mane, Mario Winans, Pleasure P, Bryce Wilson, Big Gipp, Michael K. Williams and many others.

Abran has a Masters Degree from Teachers College of Columbia University and is a Gates Millennium Scholar, an award bestowed to future leaders in the community by Bill Gates. He is also pursuing a PhD and is conducting research, in collaboration with other academic scholars, on ways to improve education in underprivileged urban districts.
