Absence of Fear is a Metal band from Oshawa, ON. The band has had the privilege to open for new upcoming acts which include; Periphery (Distort Ent), The Human Abstract (E1 Music), Stray From the Path, (Summerian Records), and Letlive (Epitaph Records)
Since March 2011, Absence of Fear has been playing shows around Southern Ontario.
On January 14, 2011 Absence of Fear performed their first showcase in front of one of the largest artist management companies in Canada, Coalition Entertainment. This gave the band first hand exposure to the music industry.
The band has a range of influences from Lamb of God to Avenge Sevenfold which makes them strive on creating their own sound.
Absence of Fear sets them selves apart from the trendy hardcore scene, and aims to create something different. Musically, the band strives to incorporate dynamic passages into their musical repertoire. Absence of Fear`s sound ranges from the heaviest breakdowns to melodic instrumental passages, while still obtaining a catchy hook into their sing-a-long choruses and well crafted guitar solos.
