Bio

Hailing from Westlake Village, California, A Better Transit juxtaposes an array of genres and musical styles to create their signature Alternative Rock sound. Comprised of Bryan Lazar(guitar/lead vocals), Aaron Rudin(drums) and Trevor Goodwin(bass), A Better Transit has been a collective band since the dawn of 2007. Meeting in their high school Jazz band, A Better Transit wrote, recorded and released their debut single, So You Say, in September, 2008. Influenced by such industry artists who include Incubus, John Mayer, and Red Hot Chili Peppers, A Better Transit prides themselves on releasing a plethora of records to spotlight the various influences that define their career as artists. As every song they record acts as a staple of their journey, individually and united, songs that include, Part Of Me and So You Say capture specific moments in time, along the bands musical evolution. Part Of Me stands as the first song that A Better Transit ever played together, as So You Say stands as the first record that the band ever, officially, recorded. Accordingly, A Better Transit will release their debut, studio album that will be comprised of fourteen to fifteen of their original tracks. To promote their songs to the masses, A Better Transit has taken center stage at such venues that include Carnege Hall, Rock The Oaks 8, The Music Cures benefit in support of VH1's Save The Music Foundation, as well as, The Majestic Ventura Theater, with artists such as Hoobastank, Mixi, and Halifax. Though they've only been playing together for a short period of time, the unique dynamic of the band's ability to improvise and create a marketable sound, sets them apart from other rising stars. As their music is stripped of the secular, mundane sound that classifies the style of many other artists, A Better Transit aspire to land a major record deal that will allow them to reach a new plateau in their music careers. Ultimately, as the band continues to write, record and distribute their sound to the masses, they stand on the pulse of reinventing the mainstream sound of American Music.
