"Abyss puts on a great live show"

"Abyss put on a great live show on both 07/23/04 and 7/31/04 on the Sirius Satellite Stage at the HiFi Buys Amphitheatre. During both sets, the sound was tight and the band had great stage presence. The energy the band
emitted was contagious. The crowds at both shows, while en route to their
seats, noticed this, too, as they stopped and watched Abyss do what they do
best: put on killer live shows." Jackie Tauber House of Blues Concerts - Jackie Tauber

"They were tight, and [Scott] is quite the showman.""

"I watched them [ABYSS]at the 311 show. They were tight, and [Scott] is quite the showman." Christopher Calandro Associate Producer Don Miller Morning Show 99x - WNNX - Atlanta - 99x

"Review in Weekly Newsletter"

“power-chord-heavy heavy metal with vocals that are more discernable and a little less monotone than most stuff in the hardcore genre. It sounds like there’s only one guitar in there, which makes things sound less muddy than most metal. Although I’m just too old for this sort of stuff, definitely give ‘em a try, or check out their site at www.abyssonline.net.”

"Promising Potential"

“Abyss has some very promising potential. They're very talented and appear to have a good vibe musically. The music is great and there are very strong lead and background vocals going on, which is a great plus.” - SLAB Music

Bio

Driven by the sole desire to reach out to the masses through their high-energy performance and ironclad sound, ABYSS has cultivated a brand of Alternative music that they have come to call “Aggressive Rock”. The recipe for the Aggressive Rock sound designed by ABYSS consists of the deep, heavy guitar work of Benny Bischoff, the rolling-thunder bass tones of David Keating, the deliberate and uniquely tasteful chops of Demond Smith, and the raw and powerful voices of front man Scott Team.
With influences ranging from Three Days Grace, Velvet Revolver, and Seether to Alice in Chains, Rage Against the Machine and Godsmack; ABYSS appeals to a large audience. Although the band is still very young, they have quickly gained popularity in the Atlanta area and respect within its local music community. As for the band themselves, success is measured by the number of heads nodding in the audience, along with how many voices are singing along with Scott's hook lines.
To date ABYSS has performed at Atlanta venues including The Masquerade, Smith’s Olde Bar, Luby’s, Sweetwater Bar and Grill, 9 Lives Saloon, and the Brandy House (among others). Most recent accomplishments include:

> Completion of their first studio demo (included with this press kit)

> Chosen to compete in the Sweetwater Battle of the Bands (sponsored by 99x, Miller Lite, and Six Doves Productions) beginning in August.

> Abyss was chosen to open at HI FI Buys Amphitheater for Nickelback, 3 Doors down, Puddle of Mudd, and 12 Stones on July 24, 2004.

> Abyss was chosen to open at HI FI Buys Amphitheater for The Roots and 311 on July 31, 2004.
