Bio

I was groomed to be a musical artist. My natural singing ability comes from my father. My inspirations outside of the obvious "Mom and Dad" were artists such as Michael Jackson, Luther Vandross, Stevie Wonder, Sade and much Jazz. Later on down the line performers such as Usher and Aaliyah became some of the front runners as far as music that I "Vibed" with. As I matured as an artist my writing became essential and seperate from my music or voice. As I started to realize the importance of artist who write their own lyrics I decided to merge the two "Music and Songwriting." I always excelled in English and mostly enjoyed writing poetry, short stories, comics and books. I built up a repetoire of songs in hope that someday they would all be heard. These songs became the underlying blocks for my style of writing. Later down the line I became involved with a rap group who called themselves "Young Onez." This would be the first time I was put in the studio environment. Working with a rap group influenced my style of writing because I had to come strong lyrically to fit in with the rest of the guys. This is also where I began the "Bumpy" ride with my first producer. This producer had totally misconstrued my perception of a Producer/Artist relationship. At times I began to feel my musical career was untangible and completely at a dead end. In between the time I was working with this producer I had entered numerous competitions one being Debbie Allen's "FAME." I lost in the final round and was highly dissappointed in my efforts. At this point I felt as if I was trapped working with this one controlling producer. I had officially hit "Rock Bottom." After parting with this producer I had a feeling of total Liberation. After meeting up with long term friends Alan Phoubandith and Brian Scott we began working in our small basement studio. Our vision started to come together after finishing the rough draft of my first single "Just a Moment." This was the rebirth of "AC." Now five years since I first stepped into a studio I have been groomed into a professional artist. My focus is now to make some serious noise and set my mark on the music industry.
