Bio

Please check out the new Accelerator video, recorded at Rusty's Surf Ranch on the Santa Monica pier in June 2007!

Accelerator's members have an extensive history of playing rock and blues since they were young pups during the 60's British Blues and Rock Invasion.

Scott Shepherd, lead vocals and blues harp, is a converted percussionist who served the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra in that capacity for 12 years. Scott has performed with numerous LA bands and has a great appreciation of the blues, which is evident in his vocal style.

Bill Angarola is an Emmy award winning Hollywood sound editor and Warner Bros VP for post production sound services. He also has been playing extraordinary guitar since he was able to plug in, and is the kind of guitar player - well, you just don't really need a second guitarist unless its just jammin'.

Cobe Haskell, bassist, played with The Rockinghams from 1996-2001, regulars at Rusty's Surf Ranch on the Santa Monica pier.

Dick Berglund is from Sweden and insists that even though he lived next door for a while to one of the members of ABBA, their musical style did not subliminaly influence his musical tastes. Dicken worked at Chick Corea’s Mad Hatter Studios. Dicken is a ADR/Foley mixer for Technicolor and Fox.

Mark Bensi is a television and film music editor who toured worldwide with both Bill Withers and Donna Summer. Mark is a crack drummer with a fine voice so the band delves into 3-part vocals to really get that true wall of sound thing happening (good luck, Phil).

Incidentally, the 3 attached audio files were recorded in the band's small practice room by throwing up (figuratively) 3 mics and hitting the record button. Nothing fancy.

The band has an extensive contact list and plans only limited performances, so it expects to draw well on those special occasions when it does perform in the Southern California area.
