ACCORD is a band of musicians from St. Mary’s Bay who deliver a blend of toe tapping guitar, violin, banjo and mandolin music of Acadian, bluegrass and folk origins. Their eclectic blend combines the energy, rhythm and soul of the traditional Acadian kitchen parties. Kyle Doucette, 18 years of age, is already a well respected flat picking guitarist, banjo and mandolin player with 8 years of professional training. Lisa Doucette, violinist with 2 years bluegrass and 3 years classical training, is quickly building up a fan base with her own unique and romantic style. Nathan Boudreau, a guitarist with strong musical roots, accompanies and harmonizes to complete the band. The trio have been performing professionally from Halifax to Yarmouth at different functions over the years.
