Bio
The aim of African Cultural Development is to entertain and educate people of all ages and backgrounds about the arts and culture of Africa, whilst simultaneously teaching them musical and social skills.
We conduct drumming and dancing workshops, and perform at corporate and charity events, public concerts, carnivals, private parties, festivals and other occasions. We also hold story-telling sessions. We are one of the only groups in the UK that offers such a wide range of activities based on African culture.
With almost 1 million Africans currently living in the UK, ACD is more relevant than ever.
The shows are performed by a group of members taylored to suit each gig, for example, most shows will require 6-8 of the core ACD members, however some larger festival or arena gigs see ACD attend with up to 20 talented members, including singers, drummers intrumentalists and dancers!
