"'Scenester' review"

A perky 1 minute and 34 seconds, short piece of smart pop, that'll suit any sticky indie club and feels refreshingly casual! - Fake DIY

"'Scenester' single review"

'Scenester' is a cheeky wink to Blur's greatest moments. Perky fun as they pick through the frightening life of someone who has to be on trend. No control, no escape! I can't wait for the album! - Daily Record, Rick Fulton

"Gill Mills Best of Myspace"

These Glasgow chaps come in like early Blur with an 80's jerk pop edge and some nice crunchy guitar lines - n/a

Discography

Ace City Racers self-released their first single 'Scenester' in October 2010 to rave reviews. The Stephen Street produced single "Waiting " will be released in Summer 2012 by Fred Perrys Subsonic label.

Bio

Ace City Racers see their music, image and attitude as a way of life rather than a pose. The songs are sharp and observational but never condemnatory. The music is playful, artistic and innovative but also keeps one ear firmly on the radio. Being multi instrumentalists the band are able to interchange whenever a fresh perspective is needed. Having agreed with Stephen Street to produce the album, ACR are building up a reputation for their all encompassing approach: staging events rather than gigs and forging a distinctive image. They have a rock solid vision of where they are going and the changes they hope to make when they get there!
Ace City Racers have recently supported Franz Ferdinand as they DJed at Glasgow's illustrious Pin Up Nights! They will shortly be showcased in London by Gill Mills' Best of Myspace . Ace City Racers were recently featured as a top emerging UK act by Fred Perry Subculture and their music video for debut single 'Scenester' has been championed by Fake DIY. 2011 saw Ace City Racers playing Liverpool Sound City main stage supporting Sound of Guns and Viva Brother on their Scottish dates.
