"Sex, Murder, Art, Baby Review"

"The new Acey songs carry real weight, just going for it hard with passion and feeling. It's a big sound that mixes the best of glam influences with the punk fans have come to love from Acey and newer, more industrial and subverted house music gutter finery. "
- Morgan Yeats, Crusher Magazine

"Acey Slade Review"

"On this Acey Slade and co. certainly surprise our ears with just how good his new sound is. It may also surprise the reader to know that this material has an extremely commercial edge to it, though this seems to fit with Acey’s inspiration that “rockers want to dance and dancers want to rock.”"

Acey Slade and The Dark Party, based in New York is the creation of the genre bending coffee fueled Acey Slade. Acey played his role in the bands Vampire Love Dolls, Dope, Amen, Murderdolls, Wednesday 13, and Trashlight Vision. As well as the Roadrunner United project. The dark, hauntingly beautiful vocals for The Dark Party come from this charismatic front man. His partners in crime are transplants from other local New York City bands. Andee who fronted both pOp*stAr*kiDs and his more recent creation. electronic pop band, Black Sugar Transmission, holds his own in The Dark Party and is responsible for the guitar squeals, and kilt wearing. Andee is also credited with making many of the bands footage, such as the bands UK Tour Diary. The multitalented Per C Trayanov pulls double duty as the bands keyboardist and bassist, a sight to be seen live, as he performs with both instruments. Per C was recruited from the dark electric industrial band Cylab, where he not only played the keyboards and bass, but was the founder as well as programming, sound design, engineering and production. Rounding up the members is Theo and The Skyscrapers drummer, and skyscraper himself, Chris Kling, who provides the sick drum beats for The Dark Party, as well as some of the dance moves seen on the bands UK Tour diary. Acey Slade and The Dark Party is a band like no other, their music can’t be labeled. Genre lines are blurred when it comes to this band, the music is addictive and catchy.
