A Conscious Divide is a new breed of alternative rock/metal bands from the Twin Cities, Minnesota. The band's style ranges from airy melodic sounds to progressive riffs and breakdowns. The band was originally formed by singer Derek Qualle and guitarist Lance Loverink. Current members include bassist Jason Micheal, guitarist Mitch Myers, and drummer Adam Ferris. A Conscious Divide released their first EP in the late Summer of 2011 called, "By Way of Morning Light".
