"For the Lost and Found"

This album's title, "For The Lost And Found," is written as if it was on a gift tag for the music fan, but it is more fittingly an Acres' self-description. As the heartfelt lyrics describe relatable emotions, you find yourself on a pathway.
Discovering others just as they are and discovering yourself in turn
are lessons we learn with Acres. Shouldaknown has a kick-myself sentiment and the music rocks it in to your brain. I couldn't stop singing it. 2BU is another killer track with melodies you'll find swimming in your mind long after the album ends. Not just an album title, "For the Lost And Found" proves that Acres has done just that... found their sound and found themselves.

Bio

"I love these guys and they are going to be huge...and if not, there is something wrong with the world!" - Bradley J, Program Director KJCK.
My name is Tim Acres. I've been singing and playing guitar in rock bands since I was twelve years old. My earliest musical roots include singing in gospel choir and listening relentlessly to my older brothers' Led Zeppelin and Beatles records.
I started the band ACRES in 2000 with the intent of creating flavorful modern rock with a focus on melody and good lyrics. With the help of long time friends Dan Bauman on bass guitar and Jen Lowe on drums, we've since recorded three full length CD's, played live for hundreds of thousands of people at major music festivals, clubs, colleges, U.S. Army shows, and shared the stage with many national acts including Collective Soul, Jason Mraz, Train, Emmerson Hart (formerly of Tonic), Rusted Root, Allison Peacock, Tantric, Oleander, and Arrested Development.
ACRES has received national radio exposure on radio stations across the country, including daytime BDS airplay on WPLJ in New York (nationally ranked #1 market), KIIS in Los Angeles (nationally ranked #2 market), and many other BDS stations. One of our singles was among the top ten most requested on Panama City Florida’s Hot107.9. And, we've received over seven thousand radio spins in Taiwan.
Our single "Dirty Little Secret" made the top ten best rock/alternative song list in the 2004 USA Songwriting Competition.
February 2005-- highly impressed by a live ACRES show, a television producer from TBS decided to do a documentary on us as part of a series called "TBS Storyline". The show features our music and history and aired throughout the summer of 2005, and continues to air periodically due to the episode's popularity among viewers.
In 2004 I wrote two songs for the award winning indie rock and roll feature film "Novem" (find out more at www.novemsongs.com). We also have a song featured in the Lions Gate horror film "Motor Home Massacre".
It is important to me that I mention that all of the above accomplishments were made on our own, without the help of any kind of management, booking agent, or major marketing dollars. We love what we do; and it is our mission to continue releasing real music for real people who want CDs that don't get taken out of the disc changer after three spins!
