Born in early 2006 by Tom Haslow and Jon Levine, formerly of new-wave revivalists Unisex Salon, Action Painters are a brand new rock act. Somewhere between the postmodern cool of Talking Heads , the soaring chimes of Boy-era U2, and the mid-60's mod frenzy of The Who, Action Painters slay dragons with their soaring melodies, slinky grooves, and undeniable soul. They are from New York City.
