Bio

What kind of name is Adam and the Go Comets anyway? You could go with something better like The Up n’ Adams, or even 1 Adam 12. But no. See, rumor has it that Adam wanted to name the band The Go Comets after seeing it written on a minivan with a junior high soccer team in it. The band wanted to call it Just Adam, since many people usually only remember the singer anyway. Well, as any good married couple should, they met in the middle and one of the dumbest band names ever was born.

Now just who are these Go Comets, you ask? They are a 20-something, 4-piece, original pop-rock band in the vein of Ben Folds Five, Maroon Five, The Dave Clark Five, The Jackson Five, and Party of Five. Meet: Adam (singer, songwriter, guitarist, acrobat), Michael (keyboardist, vocalist, class clown), and Matt and Kerry Comet (drummer, bassist, white trash cousins-type stuff). All of them have had great success on their own. Adam, Kerry, and Michael make up three-fifths of the Fabulous Janes, one of the highest drawing acts in Illinois. Adam has also played drums for Kevin Matthews (105.9 WCKG personality) and worked with a hefty amount of fairly famous people. Kerry has played in Sister Soleil (signed to Universal Records). Matt has had a previous life as a country drummer in the Daniel Grove Band (voted best unsigned band by US99). And Michael has an armful of college degrees and marching band cred.
As of late, the recordings that Christian Cullen (producer, musician) and Adam completed have been getting a lot of attention from radio and industry alike. They have been talking to some pretty impressive people who wear really nice suits. They have said things like “label” and “tour” and “let's take this band and its music to the next level of galactic success”…like Richard Marx or even Robert Goulet, but cuter and funnier, respectively. Time will tell how far these Go Comets can soar into the atmosphere, but if you like to sing out loud and smile then say hello to your new favorite band.
