"Album review "Mount Foreverest""

Singer/songwriter/pop

ADAM HELDRING
”Mount Foreverest”
(Tennis/Bonnier Amigo)
Grade: FFFF

Taking the step from hardcore to singer/songwriter might seem tough but there’s a few who already pulled it off in the past. The last example is the son of Eskilstuna - Adam Heldring - who left the heavy tunes for the acoustic guitar. The question is if anyone actually took this step with the same success? This is a debut that must be given the attention. Not since Ryan Adams’ “Gold” has singer/songwriter pop been treated with such a feeling for melody and arrangements.
These are big words but I cannot describe it any other way. It is pure happiness and melancholy at once. It is groovy and eclectic and very very hard to stop listening to. In the final song, the epic “Exit”, Heldring sings “we might actually be onto something great”. That’s for sure!

"3 quotes of "Mount Foreverest""

”Adam Heldring’s album is to be taken seriously. There’s such a hard beating heart under the chords that you simply can’t ignore them. Sensitive, well produced and smooth pop that you can’t put aside.” 4/5 Groove

“Heldring has the ability to step on your sore toes and at once give you the perfect housewives’ cure to heal them. The lyrics hits you like magic and they deserve to be in focus through all twelve tracks. “ 4/5 EskilstunaKuriren

”Naive, grand, beautiful and raw. Swedish smartpop with mastodon sweeping strings with a pure midsummer feeling. Sometimes enchanting…” Kristianstadsbladet

Bio

Adam Heldring worked a lifetime on his debut album “Mount Foreverest” travelling around the world melting the hearts of audiences, music business representatives and fellow musicians. New York, Los Angeles, London, Helsinki, Oslo and Stockholm are a few of the cities that Adam visited only during last year. After a year of writing and recording behind closed doors, Adam is back with a re-born sound giving more weight to the lyrics and providing more room for his fellow band members. This is the first key to unlocking what we can expect from a second album.
