An American musician with a laid back style like G. Love and Jack Johnson spends two years of his life in Brazil: the Funk Bossa is born.


A gifted and highly original songwriter, singer, and guitarist, Adam Hunter draws from a deep well of inspiration in his music. Adam has been playing with some of Seattle's great musicians for over 5 years, and for the the last 2 years has held a weekly at the Hendrix Electric Lounge every Friday night.
Born and raised in Seattle, Adam comes from a line of talented musicians. Spending time in Brazil, Adam has combined Samba, Bossa groves with his American influences.
Adam continues to develop his distinctive vocal and songwriting style and is currently working on his second album, due for release this fall.
His band mates, with backgrounds in funk and jazz have helped organically realize this meeting ground of styles and make the music just feel good.


Adam Hunter's first full length disc "Unfolding Time" was released in may '04 and is available for purchase at CD Baby and Itunes. The CD featured many prominent Seattle musicians such as Hans Tueber, Jeff Busch and Gil Guilmares.

Adam is currently in the studio mixing his new album slated to be released this fall.

Set List

For a festival setting, sets usually last 45 minutes to an hour. Adam plays music people like to dance to: fast sambas mixed in with slower, laid back funk tunes. He also plays a few American Pop covers in a Brazilian Style, namely "Ring of Fire," "Eleanor Rigby" and "Heart of Glass."
