Bio

Gifted artists in every sense of the word, THE ADAM JASON BAND skillfully blends unfailing melodic and organic pop sensibilities with a unique understanding of rock and roll in its rawest form. Their new album, "FIGHTING GRAVITY", is an inspired collection of songs and melodies that muse on life, love and the pursuit of dreams.

Hailing from Miami, FL, Adam grew up obsessed with music. "When I was 11, I heard Bon Jovi's 'You Give Love A Bad Name' and from that moment I was hooked on rock and roll."

After graduating from High School, Adam transplanted himself from the Sunshine State, and enrolled at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. While in Alabama he played in several bands, which extensively toured the Southeastern Region. It was in these bands that Adam cut his teeth on the performing/touring aspect of the music industry. "I've played everywhere! Little hole-in-the-wall dives to radio festivals with the attendance of thousands. I've played on stages that were fenced in with chicken wire to prevent the bands from being pelted with bottles. It was just part of paying dues.”

After completing 2 years at Alabama, the juggle of academic life and constant playing started to take their toll. Something had to give. " I had a decision to make, finish college or pursue my rock and roll dreams. Needless to say, I traded classrooms for barrooms, and book bags for guitar cases." Adam remained in Alabama for several years playing, writing, and recording. He released his first EP "Anywhere But Here" in 1999. On the subsequent tour, he had the opportunity to perform with several national acts such as: Edwin McCain, Beth Hart, Drivin N Cryin (as well as solo performances with DNC frontman Kevn Kinney), and Angie Aparo.

After many years in Alabama, Adam decided it was time to move back home to Florida and prepare the music world for its collective kick in the ass! "I came back to South Florida completely clueless to how I was going to continue on my musical journey. All my friends had basically moved away (or on with their lives), and the music scene was completely different from what I was used to. Almost every band was trying to be Limp Bizkit. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I didn't want to follow any trends. I just wanted to be me." After answering many musician classified ads, Adam joined forces with a band that was looking for a singer and 2nd guitarist, and formed what would eventually become the band "Superbone." The band recorded a CD "Cowboy Songs For Metalheads" and played several live shows which included opening for Skid Row. During his stint in Superbone, Adam was named winner of 94.9 Zeta’s “Search for an American Rock Idol.” Internal strife and the good 'ol creative differences caused the band to call it quits after being together only a year. Next Adam started recruiting members of other great local acts to form the group "Everyday Monday." "We (Everyday Monday) really had potential to do something big. The songs were great and so was the band. Unfortunately we just couldn't get it together. We completely dropped the ball." After the demise of Everyday Monday, Adam revaluated what he wanted to do and how he was going to do it. "I just started writing songs and playing a million acoustic gigs. During this time I had the opportunity to open a show for Lynyrd Skynyrd. That was one of the greatest highlights of my career. It was just so pure. It was me, my acoustic guitar, a microphone and 5000 people!" That show was a major turning point.

If preliminary reviews of "FIGHTING GRAVITY" are any indication, the album's release and upcoming live shows will take Adam Jason to a level of success beyond his wildest dreams.
