Remember when Rock and Roll wasn’t radio’s estranged lover? The band that is rock and radio’s bastard son who was sent away to hide their shame has released their debut album. Here for a romantic rendezvous on North America’s most easterly point with songs about girls, cars, bars and guitars, you take the Police, Foo Fighters, Tom Petty, stir ‘em up, let ‘em go and you have Adam McGrath & the Tearjerkers.
The band is lead by Adam McGrath on vocals and guitar, with Mark Peddle on the bottom end, Adam Staple banging out the one night after night after night and Jonny ‘Handsome’ LeDrew on lead guitar. The Tearjerkers finally released their debut record in April 2013. Mixed by Spencer Crewe (Great Big Sea, Barry Canning) the album is titled My Colour Red.
The Tearjerkers shows are energetic marathons of Rock and Roll guaranteed to make you sing along, shout your praises, raise your hands, wiggle out of your pants and freebase tequila. They look forward to seeing your best Pete Townshend air-guitar windmill very soon!
