BandFolkAlternative

My music sits somewhere on the crossroads of folk, indie rock and counrty. the sound is original both in lyric and music and greets a wide range of fans. I write in an abstract form of poetry and story. The songs are both mellow and stirring. take a listen for yourself.

poison in your glass

POISON IN YOUR GLASS
Written by Adam Diener 9-10-2006

So, call me if you have poison in your glass I’ll be there to try it
I’ll, be dying in your arms or we’ll drink until the bottle’s gone.
Call me you’ll see how fast I can be
I’m a speed train with no name
Just taking the blame all right
Part of the game is dealing with the hand you got
but half the time I don’t want to play at all
And impatient probability gets spread on too thick
Finding the course of direction now is unknown at best.
Just call me you’ll see how fast I can be
I’m a speed train with no name
Just taking the blame right off.

METAPHOR
Written by Adam Diener 8-28-2006

Oh this world is a metaphor
for finding our limits from the sky to the floor
I only knock twice at your door
Then I’ll jump the fence cause I want more
It was late one night I was talking to a friend
Who had too much jack and didn’t know when to say when
I told him not to drive but he did anyways
Off the bridge he flew, they found him in the waves
Oh this world is a metaphor
for finding our limits from the sky to the floor
I only knock twice at your door
Then I’ll jump the fence cause I want more
Well they scrapped enough money to buy a little place
On the old side of town said we’ll remodel this place
It went well for a while she was living in grace
until he stopped coming home after work some days.
Well It wasn’t bad at first, just once or twice a week
until the casinos ate him up and he spent everything.
She got mad and left him and things went bad.
All this world is a metaphor
for finding our limits from the sky to the floor
I only knock twice at your door
Then I’ll jump the fence because I want more.

friday

Written By: Adam Diener

He went to town looking his best
To get a job and be a success
Do what his parents wanted act nice be honest
Now the first thing to appear
In the eyes of a city stranger
Neon lights and undercover cops
Theres a bum who has some change
but the stranger has no name
that he’ll ever remember
and a crack head on a bike
is yelling at the lights
but they’re not turning
cause its Friday night.

stranger sighs as he picks up his pen
jotted down there must be some lost folks here
hope I can to the right place
then around the corner a friend he sees
with all the stories and all the glory
he says hows the view from above
screaming trees below you
well there’s a ragging current in your heart my friend
go find your fortune
but to carry this load
the weight is uncertain.
