Bio

While growing up in Minnesota as a teenager, Adam Raven picked up the guitar influenced by the local blues scene. After playing in high school garage bands, Raven decided to pursue his passion and moved to San Francisco where he quickly joined the Dean Del Ray band by replacing David Immergluck (Counting Crows) and Marc Ford (Black Crows). He later hooked up with the Bay Area Blues explosion that led him to a new project with the LZ Phoenix band at the age of nineteen. With LZ Phoenix he played regularly at the Boom Boom Room that led them to gigs at the Warfield, Great American Music Hall, Slims and of course playing San Francisco’s famous annual Exotic Erotic Ball. While in San Francisco he recorded at such legendary studios as Fantasy Studios in Berkley and recently completed a self produced solo acoustic effort that showcases his singing and songwriting. Currently you can catch him solo acoustic or with his rock band “Raven” playing local venues in Austin, Texas at Antones, Flipnotics Coffee Space or Momos. In Minneapolis, Minnesota he has played solo at the Fine Line Music Café, the 400 Bar and Lees Liquor Lounge. And he has also performed in Mill Valley, California at Sweetwater and San Francisco State . Other Current accomplishments of his include Clear Channel radio play of his song “ I Don’t Care” on the Cities 97 station for their Acoustic Sunrise Show. “ This CD is a great one for those who appreciate top-notch players as well as unsurpassed singing.
