Bio

Bio 1:
Artist Adam Rose is a tireless music aficionado whose inimitable compositions as a solo artist and as a band leader with Adam Rose & The Gallants are lighting the industry on fire.

Rose moved to New York City after graduating from high school in his hometown of Philadelphia, PA where his Jazz guitar skills led him to the New School University. His focus, however, shifted to playing for various Indie Rock outfits such as The Inhabitants. He relocated to Los Angeles, CA after nine years of living in NYC but returned to his hometown in 2008.

Since then, he has been hard at work composing ambient music for use in film scores and soundtracks as well as composing songs that blend classic American music (Blues, Country) with the melodies of British Rock with The Gallants.

The group, featuring bassist Dominic Galante, drummer Nick Galante and guitarist Shane V, crafts songs that recall the work of legendary artists such as Willie Nelson, The Beatles, Wilco, Waylon Jennings and The Smiths among others.

“I want to make music” he says, “that people can relate to, enjoy, dance along with and disappear into for a few minutes. Hopefully they’re left with something memorable.”

Bio 2:
After playing in many start up bands and being signed to a label in New York city, Adam grew tired of the overcrowded scene there. He left New York and drove cross country to the high desert terrain of the Sierra Nevada mountain range where he worked as caretaker on a horse sanctuary near the California and Nevada border crossing. In the arid terrain and the tired isolation of farm labor, Adam developed an appreciation for the classic and outlaw country singers like Waylon Jennings and George Jones. He set out to record an album that combined these powerful influences, with the folk and new wave influences that shaped the music of the New York scene. With few people around and no musicians within driving distance, Adam recorded the original songs that comprise the album Rest of the Day track by track. The production style is reminiscent of the live and bare instrumentation of albums released in the 70s with the focus being on authenticity and simplicity. Since returning to Philadelphia Adam has formed a live band consisting of Dominic Galante on bass, Nick Galante on Drums, and Shane V on guitar, and has performed at many Philly venues. He's looking forward to recording new material with the band, performing throughout the area and reaching a larger audience.
