BandFolkAcoustic

I'm a compassionate darth vader meets a modern james taylor. My guitar is bold and expansive, my voice deep and resonant. I have a love affair with melody, and my music spans the poles from hauntingly beautiful to ridiculously quirky. All of my songs are unique and I pepper my act with humor.

Lyrics

Here are the days

Written By: Kwayzar

Sometimes you feel that you just don't matter
If you were gone what would people say?
But you know you've got so much to offer
And you will get through the pain
At times you think what the hell did I do?
To be born into this nightmare
But deep inside you've always known you're free
And your home is everywhere

Gone are the days
We locked ourselves alone and were afraid
Gone all the ways
We backed off from our dreams forgot to play

You might think that it's not worth trying
So many obstacles on the road ahead
But day by day when you keep your focus
Even boulders corrode to sand

Gone...

All the tools you need are here
And all the help will come along
And one day there'll be no fear
When you find love you can't go wrong

Gone...

Here are the days
Make the most of every moment stake our claim
Here are the days
We create our lives we choose we are awake
Here are the days
We live our dreams lift others on the way

Grateful

Written By: Kwayzar

The tradewinds always have blown west cross the seas
You've stayed behind me like that easterly breeze
The moon will cycle through the starry night skies
But your love has never waned only been on the rise

And like the oxen pulls the plow through the ground
You've worked so hard and kept your ethics sound
And like the butterfly that floats on its wings
You've broken barriers stayed aloft without strings

Hey, I know you gave your all to me
Hey, I know you'd leave the world for me
Now, I need for you to hear me say
I'm so grateful every day

The friends I've had they just come and go
Some have burned me some have faded away slow
From the tree of life you have always been there
When all the others just didn't seem to care

Hey, I know...

And now it's time I let you know
I rarely say it but I love you
So remember the world is just a space in time
There is no death only life sublime
It hasn't all been smooth
But we found our groove
Sometimes I feel I don't deserve your love
I hope with all my heart I can give back enough

Hey, I know...

Cursed Melody

Written By: Kwayzar

This cursed meoldy came from pain
And if I'd only known, I'd never dream to play
Must quality come from misery, or walkin'alone?
Noone would ever choose to bear the weight of the stone

So should I cut off my ear, for you my dear?
Is that what beauty takes, or to me hung by stakes
The dreamer in me never realized, the price of this song
If it is worth anything, it came from a place where all seemed wrong

I don't see the way
But I'll make it through today
Tranquility has been gone so long
From it's loss, I have this song

The more I struggle the more songs I'll have to sing
And comes the muse to soothe my soul and dull my pain
The world we're in it's trash all over it makes me sad
Cuz I know I'm not the only one, Feels the weight of the stone is breaking my back

I don't see the way...

Set List

For solo performances I like to play no more than 90 minutes total, unless the music could be described as background. I like to break that into two sets of 45 minutes.
