Adam Roth

A southern boy indeed. Born in New Orleans, raised in Pensacola, FL. Adam got his feet wet at the age of 16 with the band Suburban Shakedown, whom together won numerous awards and shared stages with Sugar Ray and Spin Doctors, among many others. At 19, Adam moved out to Los Angeles to pursue the dream, where he spent months recording with Eric Lynn at Shangri La, otherwise known as the Abbey Road of the West Coast (or Bob Dylan & The Band's old ranch studio in Malibu). It was there that he developed his unique sound as a songwriter, and also recorded songs with Richie Hayward (Little Feat), Stevie D (David Gilmour), and Stanley Behrens (Canned Heat). In late 2009, Faux Entertainment / INgrooves released Adam's debut EP 'Sunshine State', which made Napster UK's Top 10 picks, and was featured on the front page of iTunes Australia and UK's folk section, and is currently featured on Wal-Mart Online's Indie & Rising Stars. Adam also had a very positive review in Performing Songwriter Magazine, as well as 3 songs in the feature film 'Strike', starring Tara Reid. When Adam is not writing, he's pursuing a career in photography. Recently Adam did a photoshoot in New Orleans, and is donating a % of the profits from the works to charity organizations benefiting the Lower 9th Ward of New Orleans.
