A Declaration of Principles:

* We will not wear spandex, suits, or gimmicky costumes. We'll stick to jeans, t-shirts, and the occasional collared button-down.
* We will not have fireworks on stage, partly due to the cost involved, and partly because they're illegal in New Jersey, where we all live.
* We will never EVER have a DJ in the band. No explanation necessary on that one.
* We will not intentionally try to sound like other bands, but if the powerful influence of our heroes seeps into our music, we'll get over it.
* We will not argue with our audience when they tell us we sound like everything from John Mayer(really?) to Black Sabbath. Even though we think we have kind of a Pearl Jam, Screaming Trees, Band of Horses, or Augustana kind of vibe, we will shut up and agree with our audience, because, as long as we're playing music, "whatever" is cool with us.
* If a song needs to jam, we will let it jam.
* If a song needs to end, we will let it end.
* We will not pierce our faces, ears, nipples, sternums, or... well, we will not pierce anything. We're just not cool enough to pull that off.
* Two out of four of us will continue to get pretentious, cheesy tattoos that require too much explanation, and only one out of those two will apologize for it.
* We will play shows wherever and whenever we can, NOT because we need the exposure (though we probably do), but because we love to play shows.
* We will not daydream about getting "signed", because we really aren't interested in that. We will self-record, self-produce, and self-release our music, because we make the music we want to make, and not necessarily what is marketable.
* We will not apologize for being nerds, geeks, and losers who may or may not enjoy Lord of the Rings, video games, or classic films.
* We will never forget how amazing it felt when we heard our music on the radio for the first time.
* We will always be thankful for our supporters.
* We will play every show as if it were our last.
