Bio

Adams Wilson started out as a singer/songwriter vanity project in the Fall of 2006.

Over the next two years, Adams Wilson became a four-piece band of songwriters that drew on classic rock, blues, and pop influences to create a grungy, memorable songlist that expands on a weekly basis.

Philadelphia indie station WXPN took notice of the group in 2008, when Helen Leicht named Adams Wilson's "Dear Jesus" the Philly Local Pick of the Day.

In a chance meeting, Ex-Counting Crows bassist and producer Matt Malley took some time to check out a few songs, and instantly recognized the band's solid songwriting, calling AW's song, Spaceman, "KICKASS."

Adams Wilson's second release, "My Best Guess" was recorded and produced by Philadelphia indie-legend Brian McTear at Miner Street Studios in 2008.

An independently produced album, entitled "Everything We Know" was released in May of 2011, featuring a set of unforgettable rock songs that bring to mind early Band of Horses, Augustana, and old school Screaming Trees.

In the Fall of 2012, Adams Wilson released "Lies Worth Telling," an EP produced by Robby Takac of the Goo Goo Dolls. The EP features 3 brand new songs, and 2 bottom-up re-workings of old favorites. The opening track, "Take it or Leave it" was featured as WXPN's Philly Local Pick of the Day on August 24, 2012.
