Adam Walker

I'm a singer-songwriter from Los Angeles who can't picture living without an acoustic guitar, and who almost never picked one up. I took a beginning guitar class in middle school only because I didn't like the idea of a year of wood shop. Sixteen years later, songwriting and performing has become so central to my identity that I have difficulty putting the guitar down. I've taken my fair share of cues from the Beatles, Bob Dylan, James Taylor, and an entire generation of people who viewed themselves as not just musicians, but poets, artists, and cultural figures.

I have been writing and performing original music for more than fifteen years. I believe that the kinds of people who succeed in music should be those who would be playing even without an audience, writing songs that they know no one will ever hear, and perfecting a sound if only for their own benefit.
