"Adam Web’s new release Pendulum has Jason Mraz vibe"

It’s virtually out of the question while listening to Adam Web’s newest album Pendulum to not compare his style to Jason Mraz. But what makes Web’s performance gravitate toward a different direction is his ability to allow his songs to exude the friendliness that seems to come naturally to him. This album is buoyant, encouraging, urbane, light reggae-pop. Combine the vocals, songwriting style and acoustic guitar technique of Jason Mraz, add in the vibes of Jack Johnson and Donavon Frankenreiter and then sprinkle it all with positive thinking and you’ve got yourself the perfect conditions for a “Pendulum”. Web’s optimistic, introspective view is present in all eleven tracks but my favorites by far: upbeat, catchy and most like Jason Mraz -“I’m on Top of It”; groovy, romantic and guitar riff driven – “Every Time You”; and laid-back and most like Jack Johnson -“Safe Here Now”. Although the positive vibe of the album was refreshing, the need for more dimension and range vocally and at times, lyrically, made my attention digress back to the tracks that most captured my interest.

In an often disheartening, negative culture, Adam Web’s Pendulum alternates in an opposite direction, shining a little daylight and adding some helpful color in the occasional black, white and gray world of songwriting. Pendulum is available on iTunes and Amazon.

""Pendulum” by Adam Web is an entertaining journey of the soul through challenges and celebration with engaging lyrics, contagious choruses and excellent production."

"“Pendulum” by Adam Web is an entertaining journey of the soul through challenges and celebration with engaging lyrics, contagious choruses and excellent production. The vocals are crisp and clear, sung with smooth pop appeal. The album includes a variety of upbeat and introspective songs about perspective, personal growth and interpersonal relationships. Lyrics speak universal wisdom through individual challenge, awakening and awareness with a consistent message of gratitude and love...“You Are Everything” is and upbeat track about humanity being under an illusion of limitation, resolving to recognize the beauty in every moment. On the other hand, “Roots” challenges the audience to consciously select which habitual patterns to retain and release. “My Divinity” reclaims balance by declaring an individual connection to Source energy, even in the midst of daily life. This album is appealing... with profound messages delivered through light music and grounded lyrics. " - Rosemarie Ashley of Positive Music Association

Bio

Adam Web = optimistic acousitfunk. Though living in Philadelphia, PA, his career began about 10,000 miles across the world in Australia. It was
here, while studying abroad, that Adam began writing of his inspiring travels and experiences. The music that emerged was shaped with percussive
guitar grooves, soulful vocals, and spiritually conscious sentiment. With his rootsy approach he has drawn comparisons to such contemporaries as
Jack Johnson, Dave Matthews, and JasonMraz, but still maintains a definitive sound of his own. This sound has made its way across the U.S with his
last album “Once We Were Stars” being played on over 100 college radio stations in 2010. It also caught the ears of 2 major TV networks, as his
single “Standstill” was used in an episode of MTV’s “The Real World Las Vegas (2011)” and his song “Life is My Play” was used on Oxygen’s “The
Bad Girls Club (2011)”. Through multiple tours, Adam has performed in 14 states across the country including such festivals as South by Southwest
(Austin, TX) and Musikfest (Bethlehem, PA). He has performed at such prominent venues as the Hard Rock Café in Nashville, TN and Milkboy
Philly in Philadelphia, PA.

Adam’s career took shape “down under” while studying abroad in Melbourne, Australia. It was during this time of discovery that he began writing
about love, peace, and a search for heightened awareness. Drawing inspiration from both uplifting literature and an eclectic mix of musical influences,
Web began creating a sound all his own. After receiving an overwhelmingly positive response at many college and pub performances, he returned to
the States knowing that music would be his purpose and career. Upon returning to Philadelphia, he began crafting his live show which is now known
for its emotional lift and his own brand of “rapping melodically”. With his laid back demeanor and a peaceful sense of humor, he alleviates any
tension in the room and breaks the barrier between performer and listener.

Web’s second and current studio album “Pendulum” is a balancing act of extremes to find the middle. The highest peak of the album is “I’m on Top
of It” which boasts an upbeat lyrical flow and a driving funk rift. The more mild and somber sentiment in the album is found in the honestly written
“Swollen and Bruised”. He strikes a middle ground by incorporating some swinging pop tunes in “You Are Everything”, a catchy Jackson 5’ish
throwback, and “Every Time You”, an acoustic groove with a punchy lift. Tying the whole album together is his undercurrent of positivity and hope,
“you’ve been blinded by the dark, so step out of that cave and take off those shades, you are the light you now see.” Lyrically he locates a median
between the human experience and the ethereal plane as he expresses, “The lyrics touch on our everyday personal emotions while keeping a pulse on
the bigger picture...the broader perspective of who and what we are and of what we’re all capable of becoming.”
