A Day Like Friday is an up and coming four-piece pop/rock band based out of South Florida. Sean, Matt, Greg, and Rikki all make their home in the Ft. Lauderdale/Miami area.
A Day Like Friday can be described as having an energetic sound, consisting of Sean’s uplifting lyrics and catchy choruses, Matt’s intricate guitar work, all tied together by a driving rhythmic foundation with Greg on the bass and Rikki on the drums.
Each member of A Day Like Friday brings a unique playing style and influence that creates music that is fun, lighthearted and easy to immerse yourself in. Sean’s instantly recognizable vocal talent and energetic personality is the centerpiece of the band, surrounded by the remarkable and intricate musicianship of Matt, Greg, and Rikki.
Audiences will not have to wait long to appreciate the talent of Sean, Matt, Greg, and Rikki, as their impressive musicianship is immediately apparent from the first note. Each member of the band has a comprehensive and distinctive musical background; for example, Sean has been involved in a successful pop/rock band that opened for the Backstreet Boys during a leg of their 2008 Unbreakable World Tour and has received formal training in musical theater, Matt has a degree in Composition and Performance from Berklee College of Music, Greg has played in numerous bands and also plays drums, clarinet, oboe, and guitar, and Rikki is an accomplished drummer who has shared the stage with bands such as Orgy, The Killers, and The Bravery.
A Day Like Friday leaves audiences not only with a memorable musical show, but will also appeal to eager fans with their dynamic, yet down-to-earth personalities. The experiences of each individual band member contribute to the band’s overall maturity, professionalism, and dedication; all qualities that solidify the band as one destined to succeed in today’s evolving music industry.
