Still doing the occasional solo-acoustic gig, Addison's primary focus has been on tunesmithing. He has had songs recorded by independent artists: Irish crooner Darren Holden (of River Dance) on Darren's Live and Learn CD, 3 on Kim Parent's When Love Was Just A Word CD, Marcia Ramirez' Compromise CD, Texan Zane Lewis' CD This Town, David James' CD Eisenhower High, Rollie Stevens' CD on Big Diehl Records, The Title Track on B.J. Cooper's CD Broken Heart Express and Melissa Gayle's CD in addition to Addison's 1995 release of the CD If There Were No Guitars(Out of print).

As a solo acoustic performer Addison has opened for Keb' Mo', David Wilcox, Joan Baez, Uncle Tupelo, Steppenwolf, John Hammond, The Little River Band, Leon Russell, Roger McGuinn, David Alan Coe, br549 and more... For two years (November '95-January '98) Addison played acoustic guitar and sang back-up vocals for Mila Mason's (Atlantic Records) road band nation-wide tour. Among their performances were Prime Time Country and The Grand Ole Opry.

Prior to that (for six years) he performed as a solo acoustic act playing college bars and fraternity/sorority parties in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi and Alabama.
