Adelayde

Hailing from the small town of Cobourg Ontario, Adelayde blends pop, rock, and traces of dance to create a refreshing sound that's bound to catch people’s attention. Making people take notice is nothing new for this fresh band. Front man Rick is no stranger to stepping outside of the genre box and making music that connects with the listener. Spending two years as half of Autumn Avanue, a band that gave post-hardcore a new perspective, Rick mastered the ability to turn personal experience into truthful lyrics and melodic guitar riffs that grasped life, love and emotion. These songs led to impressive live shows with soaring emotion and amazing performances all over Southern Ontario. Adam and Matt Newcomb are also no stranger to the scene. These brothers come from The Throe Effect, where they threw down catchy melodic hooks entangled in powerful aggressive rhythms which bore the “amalgamation of frustration and melody”.
Adelayde is born from similar roots; the desire to create music that matters. The band has teamed up with renowned producer Murray Daigle from MDS Studios/Voodoo Records to cut a 3 song EP to kick things off for the band. A full length album will be soon to follow and then the road will become Adelayde's new home as they will be touring full-time.
