ADELINE
A natural born singer- songwriter, with a distinctive voice, and a lifetime of diverse influences that have guided her musical development, Adeline Petricien holds the promise of being the most exiting new arrival from Paris since Les Nubians.
This twenty year old songbird, bedazzled French audiences at an early age with her rich talent. Adeline’s voice was first recognized at age five, when she was accepted into a professional choir in France. For young Adeline singing ,was merely an extension of herself. Raised in Paris, by her French mother and Carribean father, Adeline’s home overflowed with rich diverse music: Reggae, R&B, Jazz, Pop. While her Mother’s love for Bob Marley kept the family irie, Adeline and her musical siblings favored contemporary Pop, Soul, and R& B American artists. Adeline studied the vocal styles of Mariah Carey, Aretha Franklin and Whitney Houston, while developing her own voice.
At age eight, Adeline was handpicked by a famous French producer to accompany the childrens choir “Les Petits Ecoliers Chantant de Bondy” in France. The choir performed traditional French songs, and Gospel in English. The choir was hired on a regular basis to sing backup (studio and live performances) for famous French singers. The Children’s choir credited recordings include: a French cover of Michael Jackson’s “Heal The World” which was released on Warner Bros. The childrens choir readily made TV appearances on “Club Dorothee” the France equivalent of the Mickey Mouse Club to promote their recorded version of “Heal The World”.
At age sixteen, Adeline joined the most prominent gospel choir in France, “We Are One”. The choir earned its high reputation singing backup for various major recording artists in France artists including. “We Are One” performed live at the following French venues: Le Reservoir, Le Trabendo, Le Divan du Monde, and Bataclan. The “We Are One” choir also appeared on French released albums by the following artists: “Demoiselles de Rochedort” (Music Hall), Canadian singer “Anthony Kavanah, and “Cunny Williams (American Singer).
Adeline set a solid foundation and built a fanbase working as a local entertainer on Paris’ local Jazz & Soul circuit, performing weekly at Paris hot spots: “Le Swing” (Piano-Bar/restaurant), “Opus Cup”, “Reservoir” (Lead & Back –up vocalist), “Concert for students event” at Hotel de Ville(2004). Adeline’s performances won the approval of the French underground patrons who’s overt criticism, is more than a notion. Adeline explains, “ In France, people are harsh, and very critical…The constant comparisons to American artists, are the basis of French audiences being a bit insensitive. In France American Artists are revered like GODs...”

Adeline moved to New York soon after her nineteenth birthday, with hopes of pursuing her music career. With years of experience performing live and recording under her belt, Adeline, thrust herself into NYC thriving music community. Soon after arriving she’d begun recording with various producers including: Teddy Van (Grammy Award winner for “Power Of Love” by Luther Vandross); Producer Ryan Leslie (Bad Boy); Teddy Crockett, Still Standing (French Producer); Ricardo Lewis (Def Jam); Artist/Producer Chino Maurice; Peter Lord (recorded demo); Producer Zung (works with Reggae artist Sizzla). Adeline also began to collaborate with local NY artists/musicians M-1 of Dead Prez. (featured on “Back It Up”), and Chino Maurice(recording/back-up vocalist).

Only one year after relocating to NYC, Adeline has made successful strides towards making hers a household name in America. Broadening her audience, Adeline immediately began performing at Indie showcases around NYC. Adeline’s NYC live performances include:
