Adhitya Pratama

Adhitya Pratama was born in Jakarta, on March 22 1974. At the age of 7 he started studying the piano and continued his music learning by studying organ, guitar and piano course at Yayasan Seni Musik Indonesia for five years. In the year of 1986,he was introduced to bass guitar by the late Ade Hamzah (mentor/'brother'/teacher) and private basic jazz piano lesson with Andi Wiriantono in 1988. Since then, music has become his number-one interest in life and he became a self-taught musician afterwards. His journey in music began in 1987 until now.

In 1992, he left Jakarta for Bandung to pursue higher education and simultanously found it more helpful for his creativity in music there. Between 1993-2001 he had the chance to play with various genres and environtment such as ITB Big Band, Apress ITB, Big Joke, Mathari, Fortissimo and Funqadelic (Runner Up Asean Beat 2001), then joined Canizarro (fusion/jazz-rock) in 1997 (Fusion), simakDialog (etno-progressive-jazz-ensemble) in 2001 and Erwin Gutawa Orchestra in 2002.

Now he lives in Jakarta, working as a full-time musician (session ; sideman ; band member ; live performance ; touring ; recording) for various and prestigious artists and orchestras ' amongst them is Rio Febrian, The Band, Erwin Gutawa, Tohpati, Aminoto Kosin, Addie M.S, Widya Kristianti, Chrisye, Titiek Puspa, Guruh Soekarno Putra, Krisdayanti, Titi DJ, Ruth Sahanaya, Ebiet G.
