"Gig review"

“…vaguely eastern/klezmer-y feel when they decide to make the crowd dance, and a smoky Tindersticks mood to bring them down again. Ones to watch ;-)”
- Stuart McHugh, Is This Music

"Gig review: Insider festival"

“…serving up an intriguing array of sounds that echoed both The Doors and The Divine Comedy, with a zesty dash of gypsy–jazz…”

Adopted as Holograph launched the release of their eponymous debut album in January 2013. The album is available on cd, or for download from iTunes.

They were featured in session on Mary Anne Kennedy’s Global Gathering on Radio Scotland in April 2012. And have also been aired by Vic Galloway (Radio Scotland).

Compounding elements of Continental Jazz, eastern European folk and 50’s Rock & Roll, Adopted as Holograph dispense a vital dose of what has been described as ‘Gypsy Jazz Noir’. A sound laced with evidence of Django Reindhart, Roy Orbison and The Doors, as well as Tindersticks and The Divine Comedy.

Based in Glasgow, the band was originally formed in 2009 by former Uncle John and Whitelock guitarist David Philp, after touring with Isobel Campbell and Mark Lanegan in 2008.

As well as regular festival appearances, they have also performed at The Edinburgh Art Festival, the Glasgow International Festival of Visual Art and support with various acts including Stanley Brinks (Herman Dune).
