"Get to Know Adrian Duncan Before There’s “No Time” Left"

I may be late to knowing who Adrian Duncan is, or maybe I’m right on time. The newcomer in the Toronto scene first caught my attention through a series of submissions for a festival (proof that I actually go through submissions), and after being booked for said festival, it’s safe to say I’ll keep an eye on the kid. Check out his newest video for a single titled, “No Time.” -

"Adrian Duncan – No Time [Official Video]"

Toronto rapper Adrian Duncan is back with a new release called No Time and there’s a video to it. The visuals are simple and clean shots of Adrian at the Majur Musik studios in the east. No Time is a song about not having enough time to constantly be around these women due to being busy on his grind. Duncan still wants to let the tings know that he’s the guy that they need for a good time. - Made In Toronto

Toronto’s Adrian Duncan is back with stunning visuals for his latest track No Time. Produced alongside MTF Mod and shot by Kavin Roberts, there’s no doubting the immaculate teamwork that went into this project. Adrian takes his time out to explain the hectic and eventful lifestyle that comes with being a rapper in today’s world and explains how there’s no time for anything else other than money, especially not girls. A belief system we can all too well vouch more, as this theme runs deep into the depths of Hip Hop from the days of 2Pac and Biggie to the prime of Jay-Z and Nas.

Adrian shows spectacular wordplay on all verses of the track alongside some impressive vocals on the hook and for the background music. The chemistry Adrian has with the producers is something we rarely see, as every note is hit perfectly and every pitch is mastered to maximize the sound’s perfection. This type of perfectionism is needed in today’s scene and there’s no shortage of that here in the lyricism and production as well. Check out the video above and keep your eyes out for more music coming from Adrian. - The Come Up Show

"LP: Adrian Duncan ‘Tape Quality’ [Audio]"

Hailing from Toronto, relatively unknown artist Adrian Duncan has been quietly working on the release of his debut project titled “Tape Quality”. This tape is packed with storytelling lyricism, soul samples, and a ton of self-reflective thought. The 8 track effort is definitely worth a listen as it captures the essence of a young artist’s mind. Check out the mixtape in its entirety. - Thats Enuff

Our good friend Adrian Duncan has finally released his highly anticipated project Tape Quality. When he hit me about featuring it on our site I knew right away we needed to make it happen. I remember listening to his track “Intentions” back in the summer. And it really blew me away from the classical beat to the lyrics that all combined to create this perfect story.

What I like about Adrian Duncan is that he doesn’t follow the typical trends that many new rappers end up falling into. He doesn’t rap about doing drugs, all this money he has or all the women he gets. Adrian raps about his real life, letting you know what it is really like to be him. The 8-track project really delves deep into the life of Adrian talking about love, pain, his past and his present.

One of my favourite tracks on Tape Quality is “Floetry” a song that’s only about 2 minutes but will have your ears pressed against the speakers the whole time. A few other songs that I’m in love with are “Changes” and “Venting”. While listening to Tape Quality you can expect classical, jazzy beats with smooth flow and well thought-out lyrics. Here at Ride The Tempo we are proud to present Tape Quality by the insanely talented Adrian Duncan. - Ride The Tempo

"Adrian Duncan – Intentions (Featured Toronto Audio)"

This right here is that, what’s the game’s been missing ever so needed, headache removal music. Coming out of Toronto, this 21 year old freshman artist is moving like a vet, with an extremely dope, extremely clean, high quality sound. Adrian Duncan is fairly new on the scene with only 2 songs on SoundCloud, but don’t let that lack of quantity discourage you, this guy has some serious potential, dropping extremely quality lyrics over extremely soulful and relaxing beats; if you’re into this you might compare him to LA rapper Blu. Well, without further ado, let us introduce Adrian’s new track, “Intentions“. This track has crazy good vibes to it, lyrically, he is kicking a sort of story rap, depicting the plight of every young dude caught between two females trying to figure out what he wants and what he needs, to quote a dope line in the hook that summarizes the whole track, “I want to feel your lust, I need to feel her love“. The Canei Finch beat is on point; the New York producer did his thing, making this super cool instrumental perfect for Adrian.

Adrian Duncan is just teasing the game right now, by slowing introducing himself, initially dropping his first single, “Floetry (Interlude)” almost 2 months ago on SoundCloud, now dropping this new track. Both tracks are set to be a part of his upcoming project, “Tape Quality“. The tape features a number of soulful vibe tracks, not much different from this one, it also features a different production team on each track. To get some more information on this extremely talented artist, check out an interview he conducted with Matik Mag. Check out “Intentions” below and be sure to check out more from Adrian Duncan. - Canadian Dope

Still working on that hot first release.

Adrian Duncan is a Toronto native and hiphop artist who follows his own blueprint. He cannot be put in the same box as other artists coming out of Toronto. Inspired by the sounds and careers of artists like Tupac, J. Cole and Common, he has established a style that can be described as introspective thought that blends his experiences and the experiences of his peers.

Adrian’s genuine love and appreciation for hiphop started at a young age and as he progressed through his early years, that love developed into a talent to write music.

Adrian has spent 2014 humbly working on a project rightfully titled “Tape Quality”, 8 tracks, each one painting a vivid picture of his upbringing dealing with relationships, love and the breakup of his family.

Adrian’s vision for the future in the year 2016 and beyond is to continue progressing as an artist, whilst maintaining his expressive style; one that goes beyond passive expression. Adrian aims to make each of his releases a tangible expression of growing into a man.
