Bio

Eighteen-year-old guitarist Adrian is a singer/songwriter who is more than passionate about her music and it's subject. She sings acoustic folk/country music with hardcore lyrics that are influenced equally by her having grown up on ranches throughout the West, and her early childhood in Europe. Adrian's style of writing and singing has been compared to Bob Dylan, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and Jewel.

Almost as soon as Adrian's debut album, Highway 80, was released people started clamoring for more and the press wanted interviews! Adrian has had extensive radio, newspaper and television coverage throughout CA, NV and UT and her song Winter Blues was in the top 40 for over six months on songplanet.com. Her song The Will James Days was listed as one of "The 13 Best Cowboy Songs of All Time" in the international magazine, Western Horseman.

Adrian wrote the material for Highway 80 when she was a ripe 14 years old, and recorded the album when she was 15. Adrian has grown up performing, be it in an opera as a mezzo-soprano, playing Beethoven on the piano in a castle, or accompanying herself on the guitar at an intimate coffee shop. Adrian was born in Ventura, CA and lived on cattle ranches where her family worked, until she was 4 when the family moved to Scotland. Traveling extensively throughout Western and Eastern Europe at such a young age has given Adrian a perspective on life that most young people don't achieve until years later. Her music reflects this insightfulness, whether it a song about young love, or an old cowboy's lost way of life. Today Adrian is back in the US, living on a ranch in Northern California and when she isn't performing or taking a Calculus test, she is working cattle and horses in the tradition, in which she was raised.
In June, Adrian began recording with producer Tom Russell on her second album that was released this winter, Boots and Pearls. Without losing her passion for the ranching west—Adrian takes her fans to new heights—through her emotion filled lyrics and music. Both critically and popularly acclaimed, Adrian has reached into our soul and helped us see the truth of musical commitment, which transcends traditional genres. Is it Folk, Country, Rock, Western, Cowboy? No, it’s all of these and many more—it’s music people love and feel deeply—making it their own as soon as they hear it.
