"Excellent Spiritually-Driven Adult Rock CD"

"Adriane Blanco" by Adriane Blanco is an excellent collection of adult pop/rock-style, spiritually-driven songs that are polished, well written and well delivered. Adriane's pitch-perfect voice is shyly sensitive and works really well with the overall sound. In general, the album has a soft tone with big harmonized choruses, although each song is certainly unique and drawn from many influences. The musicianship and production are outstanding. The lyrics are well thought out and spiritually-focused, providing a positive message in a manner that is enjoyable to a mainstream adult rock audience. Highlights include "Near Me," which is a commercial radio-ready track. "Calling," which has a memorable guitar riff and a driving intensity, is another highlight track. "Show Me the Way" features mellotron, cool drum fills, an overall creativeness and well-delivered vocals. If you enjoy spiritually-based, adult rock music you will enjoy this outstanding CD. - William and the RadioIndy.com Reviewer Team

"GOOD TIME HAD BY ALL!!!"

The Connection Music Festival was a great time! Although not as well attended as we would like the event was well organized and the weather was fantastic. All four bands were wonderful and I would encourage anyone reading this blog to check out their individual mySpace to hear and purchase their music.

The festival was followed by a Connection worship service that was also very nice. There was great music, relevent discussion, interactive participation and a couple of powerful video elements. Although we do not have a music festival every week we DO have a very talented praise band that help create a positive worship environment.

Here are a few more pictures from the Music Festival…

Moses Lugemye and his band started us off. Moses had a wonderful style and I personally enjoyed how his heart showed through his music. Moses allowed The Connection praise band the honor of offering his song, “God of the Stars” during the worship service that followed.

Michelangelo was up next and he performed a more acoustic set along with one of his band members, John Wiest. Where I had heard all our other featured artists before this was the first time I had the chance to hear from Michelangelo. I really loved the sound and feeling of the music with just the acoustic guitar and cocktail drums.

Adriane Blanco followed with a high energy energy set. In addition to performing during the Music Festival Adriane and his band honored us by sharing his song “In Your Arms” during communion at The Connection service.

The festival ended with an awesome performance by Wahba. Wahba’s tube driven “Your Grace Is Enough” rocked the festival. Wahba joined The Connection praise band on his song “Blessed One” to end a fabulous day of music and worship to our Lord and Savior.

Thank you to all who participated, supported, planned, attended and prayed for this event.

"WOW!"

that’s right. the musicfest was yesterday, and it was great! the music was fantastic, i’m sure all those that were there would agree. the crowd was fantastic, nice to be in a place where you don’t have to watch your wallet. food was good (thanks dick). also thanks kelly, and all involved in getting the musicfest off the ground and going, it was a huge undertaking but you all did it.

i have to say though, all the musicians very humble, very happy to be there and sing, very approachable, when was the last time that happened? they all stayed around for the service. adriane blanco, evan, scott, and andy played during communion. wahba sang “blessed one” with the praise band for closing, and moses lugemye, i guess as he would say was ‘boogying’ in the pews. awesome. sorry lana, i know you’re the rockstar and all.

either way, if you missed the musicfest you missed a good time, but you can still hear the performers all around town, as well as get their music. i highly recommend it. - theconnection2christ.com

Bio

Rock 'n' roll and alternative country combine with the British Invasion sound, to lay the foundation for inspirational lyrics and melodies in Adriane Blanco's self-titled debut. His song "In Your Arms" earned him a #1 spot on KBCU-FM 88.1, with it's reflective tone and soothing harmonies. He has also made the top 20 of indieheaven.com with high energy songs like his indie-pop love song "Near Me", parable rock anthem "I Am Loved" and the driving rock of "The Real Me". The 13 song album was produced by Patrick Andrew of the Grammy Award-nominated and GMA Dove Award-winning band ‘PFR’ (Pray For Rain). He is close to completion on his sophomore album entitled "Metamorphosis" and is preparing to start recording a Christmas album to be released next year.

Adriane Blanco was born in Tucson, Arizona to an ethnically diverse family of his Mexican father and American mother. Knowing he wanted to make a difference in this world through music from the time he was eight, he became involved in the music of his church. He studied and developed his musical skills with the Grammy Award winning 'Phoenix Boys Choir', which allowed him many exciting performance opportunities, including backing the 80's rock band 'Mr. Mister' for a performance in Phoenix Symphony Hall and opening for artists like Crystal Lewis and Jaci Velasquez at Chase Field. Adriane has also opened for 'Phillips, Craig and Dean' and sang in the gospel choir backing Diana Ross at an NFL Super Bowl Half-Time Show. Adriane is a graduate of Grand Canyon University with a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Arts in Worship and has helped develop the music programs of several Phoenix Area churches.

As an artist who sees music not just as a commodity, but as a tool to help promote a positive change in the world, Adriane can be seen regularly playing at homeless shelters and rehabilitation centers for people struggling with anxiety and eating disorders. He also serves as the Director of Music and Programming at Paradise Valley Community Church and the Executive Director of Renewal Performing Arts.

As a songwriter and recording artist, Adriane now takes his experiences, both good and bad and tells his story of God's love and redemption through his times of doubt, confusion, loneliness, pain, and reconciliation. As a performer, Adriane combines his high-energy presentations with his humble, soft-spoken, down-to-earth personality in both his rock shows and his intimate acoustic sets. His band's next gig is at the Arizona State Fair's Faith & Family Day on October 31st, 2009.
