Rayon

Written By: Adrian Petlevanny

A Man alive, once dead,
May pause upon reflection
And take a long, hard look at his short life,
And all the things he did.
The Book of Life lists the cold, hard facts,
That when it came to you,
He was more the man for the risk he took,
Living on his own terms,

because Rayon means high-speed livin'
Rayon for the time we're given.
Rayon just keeps us spinning for more.
Rayon helps you to feel better,
Rayon there'll be no let up.
Rayon provides enough spirit for all.

A Man can walk the Earth,
If just for a little while.
Turn around and ind himself in his own backyard.
His words cut sharp to the bitter edge,
Of a dream he's running to.
With just one chance to roll the dice,
It's all that we can do.

because Rayon means high-speed livin'
Rayon for the time we're given.
Rayon just keeps us spinning for more.
Rayon helps you to feel better,
Rayon there'll be no let up.
Rayon provides enough spirit for all.

because Rayon means high-speed livin'
Rayon for the time we're given.
Rayon just keeps us spinning for more.
Rayon helps you to feel better,
Rayon there'll be no let up.
Rayon provides enough spirit for all.

Cool Water

Written By: Adrian Petlevanny

When I was just a boy, the ocean spoke and reached for me,
Spilling into my dreams.
I'd sail to distant shores,
I'd ask a girl to marry me,
But little did I know.

Cool water washing over me,
When I need to breathe air.
Cool water still my aching heart,
Shield me from despair.

For many years I sought adventures told in Fairytales,
Pretending I was free.
But I fell in servitude,
My Master still holds over me.
We linger endlessly.

in Cool water rushing over me,
How I long to breathe air.
Cool water drown my burning heart,
Shield me from despair.

(interlude)

An older, sadder Man than once If asked I'd thought I'd be.
A darkness blinds my eyes.
But I still feel everything,
with no dreams to mask the passing time,
The deep has taken me.

into Cool water washing over me,
When I need to breathe air.
Cool water still my aching heart,
Shield me from despair.

(interlude)

Run For Your Life

Written By: Adrian Petlevanny

I was heading down the highway,
Moving faster than the Sun.
When the sound of rolling thunder,
started gaining from behind.
So I reached out for the needle,
And I pulled it to the ground.
I was chasing inspiration,
She was trying to run me down.

She was made of cold, hard steel with cruel lines,
Her nails were painted with the blood of those she'd left behind.
I don't know why she set her sights on me,
I'm sending out a warning.
You better run for your life.

Hey, hey, hey.

A long, sleek thing of beauty,
As she pulled up to the bar.
Grown Men were crying in the corner,
Her voice had taken their hearts.
But I knew that i was better,
that I'd learn from their mistakes.
I didn't know that she could hear me,
I hit my brakes too late.

Oh well her heart ran lean and low to the ground,
Her doors would stay closed so no heat could get out.
I don't know what she ran but I'm telling you now.
I'm sending out a warning.
You better run for your life.

Hey, hey, hey.
Hey, hey, hey.
Hey, hey, hey.

She left a trail of burning roses,
Across the hood of my bed.
Even now I can still hear her.
As the lightning strikes the ground.

She was made of cold, hard steel with cruel lines,
Her nails were painted with the blood of those she'd left behind.
I don't know why she set her sights on me,
I'm sending out a warning.
