ADVERSARY aka “ADV”… THE LYRICAL GENIUS, was born Christopher B. Suer in the Bronx, NY. ADV moved to Wheaton, MD at age six and began his rhyming career at fourteen. Over the past six plus years, he has developed a significant underground following in Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia. ADV dominated the airwaves during rhyming battles on top urban radio stations - WPGC 95.5, WKYS 93.9 & 106.5 The Beat - and has posted an undefeated record in face-to-face battles including 93.9 WKYS Ultimate Cipher Battle-DC Champion and 106.5 the Beat Ultimate Cipher Battle-VA Champion.
ADV’s music is a breath of fresh air and his passion is seen in his craft as a raw, lyrical wit not seen since Big L and NAS. ADV is an extremely gifted lyricist who consistently balances his crafty wordplay, consciousness and commercial mass appeal.
In the Fall of 2007 ADV’s Hit Single “Twice As High” was showcased on XM Radio’s Progressive Hip Hop Show-SUBSONIQ (www.proghiphop.com) and received a tremendous response from listeners all over the nation. SUBSONIQ also selected “Twice As High” as one of the Top 20 singles of the 2007. ADV’s King Of MD Vol. I, II & III Mix-CD’s were extremely successful and had the entire DC Metropolitan area buzzing. Black Ink Entertainment Presents…The Industry Take Over-Vol. I is in the works and will surpass the success of the King Of MD Series. ADV is also working on his new EP entitled “THE ADVantage”. This EP will feature eight blazing hot tracks including the smash hit singles “Passenger Side” and “Shoe Box $”.
ADV is destined for success as a Hip Hop superstar and will be the cat that brings authentic hip-hop back to the forefront of mainstream radio.
