Brooke A. McKinney, creating and performing music as adysen, is a multi-instrumental,Electroacoustic singer/songwriter.A musician since the age of 10, Ms.McKinney has developed an exceptional blend of original lyrics about life experiences backed by powerful upbeat music.Ms McKinney has been described as having the “lightning-quick fingers of an acoustic guitar virtuoso and a voice that defies categorization soaring from the ethereal high notes of Tori Amos to the throaty stylings of Janis Joplin she was worth the price of admission all alone.” (Paul Pogue for NUVO Magazine). She has gained a loyal and enthusiastic regional following for her solo and collaborative work.
In 2004-2006, Ms. McKinney was invited to perform with Arminta & Blaq Lily, a progressive Celtic rock band headquartered in Indianapolis,IN. Appearing on their “Forged in the Fire” CD/DVD on Dreamscape Records, Ms. McKinney’s mandolin, banjo, and lead guitar compositions were nominated for various regional songwriting awards.
From 2006 to the present, Ms. McKinney has been working in her Seattle Washington studio writing, recording, and filming videos. Find her new work on iTunes in 2010.
