The best kept secret in music

Birmingham, Alabama, February 19, 2004 — In an effort to fill the void of Christian urban entertainment for Birmingham’s youth, the third annual Hip-Hop Harvest is taking place March 6, 2004 at The Carver Theater at 7:00 p.m.

Hip-Hop Harvest, meaning Heavenly Inspired Poetry Healing Oppressed People, is a gospel celebration that will showcase Gospel Artist from around the country, as well as, local artist. Hosted by Birmingham’s DJ Wheel, the show features national Holy Hip-Hop recording artist Platinum Souls, Jeremiah, JC Souljahs, and Holy Alliance. Birmingham’s own Short Tee, Priceless Camp and Hip Hop Harvest founder, Aeneas Koresh will perform along with a few surprise guests.

Triumphal Entry (2004)

Feeling a bit camera shy

Aeneas Koresh has been using his gifts and talents for the Lord since 1995. He is currently a Youth Minister at Set Free Ministries, where he ministers to children from the local housing communities. His primary mission is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ through his ministry of music.

Known for his testimonies, Koresh’s hit singles “Repent” and “Lately” are anointed alternatives to the southern tradition of Holy Hip-Hop. Koresh has performed with Platinum Souls, GRITS, Big Prophet, Seek Ye First Family, Squad of Jehovah, Ricky B & 4Given, Priceless Camp, Gospel Gangstas, and Holy Alliance, just to name a few.

In 2001, Koresh birthed Hip-Hop Harvest, a bi-annual gospel celebration in Birmingham, AL. Harvest was started to fill the void for Christian entertainment in the metropolitan area. The festival’s goal is to garner donations toward the establishment of computer labs for area community programs and outreach ministries. To date, Hip-Hop Harvest has received over $200,000 in monetary donations, computers and computer related equipment.

Aeneas Koresh wants to heal, preach, teach, and deliver. Koresh exposes himself in an attempt to show the world that the very thing that Satan uses against you, God can use to benefit you.
