Bio
Afaune is a french mathrock instrumental duo coming from Compiegne, France, with Nahuel Dumenil (guitar) and Yannick Lefaire (bass).
Inspired by the modern instrumental mathrock scene (Chon, Covet, Standards...) as well as the electronic and electro-rock music (Hot sugar, Ratatat...), Afaune is merging worlds with it's first EP, "Wiggly Air". The band is charged with high energy riffs and fast paced two handed tapping playing style, changing rythms during the songs.
The theme of the EP is the air and the movement, the flowing melodies, dynamic and altering rythm try to emulate the different forms of the wind. This EP has been illustrated by the painting of Erin Hanson Dawning Clouds.
"Wiggly Air" has been mixed and mastered by Marcos Meno who also did a guest solo for the song 3. Tornado Juice (feat. Marcos Mena) which is also the single (and clip! ) of the EP.
