Biography

Los Angeles is a haven for creativity but also a factory of false promises. It can be a difficult culture to navigate and an even harder place to find a family in music. This tension was lifted for each of us when FINE band began to form. With two LA natives, a guy from Boston, another from Kansas City and a guitar player from a small town in Poland, the melting pot began to stir and ignite an inspiration for music to be discovered in a whole new way. At the core, FINE is made of rock n' roll. Some influences are more Beatles pop, others more Flaming Lips atmospheric. Add some raw Zeppelin guitar over a pulsing Rhodes and a sincere love for Billie Holiday, one might derive an idea of how it all started. But beyond all that, when we play together, we can only be certain that we have no clue where it will end. That's simply the part we love the most. That's what we do.

Lyrics

Jacket and Jeans

Written By: Dexter Williams

Speak through my teeth, jacket and jeans
Gotta get my social policy
New Moon LA, first night of shade
Gotta get that new that crew that grade
Oh listen to the stereo, rolling rhythms up their legs
and across the floor
District fillin' up with vagabonds, they come to ride the storm,
get love in liquid form

All these hipsters talkin' bout a revolution
They got my apathy, They need that sympathy
I'll admit that it's been hard to find emotion
But I can't blame a scene, I can only stack it up to me

First kiss was slow, like piano soul
where, where did all the good things go
Caught up with head - hip, chic in bed
lost in the auditorium

All these hipsters talkin' bout a revolution
They got my apathy, They need that sympathy
I'll admit that it's been hard to find emotion
But I can't blame the scene, I can only stack it up to me

The way Audrey sang Moon River
Should be the way our emotions sound, like Moon River
Something like
I love it just the way it is
I wanna be here just the way it is
