"New Local Band, Can't Win Over Metal-Heads"

New Local Band,
Can't Win Over Metal-Heads

-Ft McMurray, AB "A Fresh Cut Lime" is the newest act to come out of the Oil dependent city. Their sound is based on upbeat drum rhythms, guitar picked bass and electric guitar, topped off with deep story-telling lyrics sung with melodies that you can hang a coat on.

The boys of AFCL took to the stage on a Thursday night in front of a far from sold out Reckless Bar. The weekly open mic event would double as AFCL's debut performance. Aside from a few random boo birds, hecklers, metal-heads and vomit breathing close talkers, the real fans cheered on as AFCL played their set with a some-what fair consistency which was to the best of their abilities.

Drummer Steve Crowe and bassist Deaner said that Delusong really messed up a lot up there tonight. Lead Vocalist/Guitarist Joey Delusong commented "I forgot to bring some water up on stage and all I had was beer which is horrible for my voice. And as far as the messing up goes there's really just no excuse. I'm just going to have to give it a better shot in Calgary. "

Despite having butchered probably their best song midway through the second stanza AFCL was able to salvage the remains of the show by finishing with an air tight finale closing the show with their song 'Being Dead' a poppy composition about what it would be like to be a zombie.

A Fresh Cut Lime was pretty busy over the weekend also heading into Calgary, AB on Saturday to play their first booked performance at The Soda. You can find out how to obtain a copy of their demo by visiting their home on the web at www.afreshcutlime.com

Bio

A significant portion of A Fresh Cut Lime lyrics describe random behavioral disorders, while other songs poke fun at themselves for certain stereotypes that they've been labeled and a miniscule amount of their words are. This all boils down into the catchiness of their songs and their hilarious live performance.

They've been together since Feb 2006 and are currently based out of Fort McMurray AB. Having played a numerous amount of shows within Western Canada they will continue to increase their fan base by promoting a new disc entitled "Caskets and Hand Baskets" in 2007.

Similarities to other artists include: The Matches, Say Anything, Belvedere, Nofx & MxPx
