Bio
Daniel "el congo" Allen Oberto is a Jazz Trumpeter who plays for Aloe Blacc, Machete Horns, Los-Negros Soundsystem, Ngoma Music, Jimi Tenor, Tony Allen and AFRIKUN.
Kumar Mate is a MPC artist, vocalist and Rapper who plays along with Indee, AFRIKUN, Sublevao Beats and Machete Horns.

Their "acoustic" objective roots within the idea of combining the traditional Afro-cuban folk music with modern urban-electronic elements, Hip Hop, Afro-beat and Funk while at the same time preserving the origins and the power of every component.
Daniel "el congo" Allen Oberto and Kumar Mate initiated this adventure in 2000 and they are both very excited to continue presenting AFRIKUN live and direct to the public.
