The debut LP, Superstone, is due out towards the latter half of 2009. 6:23, the lead song on the debut, features as the theme for Kids Gone Green TV in the Lexington market. Debut LP Superstone consists of 11 tracks, ranging from guitar rockers (6:23, Again With the Heat) to Americana (I Kiss Roses, Don't Call Me) and the title track (Superstone), which is a mini-epic. Live, After Alms also performs several tracks from the in progress follow-up effort to Superstone, American Hi Fi. Girls In Bars (from the Superstone LP) is being also being considered for use in an extreme sports documentary that is currently in post production.

Years ago a partnership was formed between Derrick and Mark. Both lifelong musicians, the first incarnation of what would someday become After Alms was formed in the basement of a local pizzeria. Mark and Derrick parted ways after a few years when kids and wives entered the picture, but the dream remained. Derrick continued with the project for a time, eventually branching off into other bands, but on New Year's Day 2008 the dream was still alive and the duo decided it was time to revive it and use their combined experience to take it to the next level. The result is a highly-polished sound that can only come from the close bond of the whole - each member of After Alms brings a unique voice to the band, and each is dedicated to the sound that is After Alms. Joey marries old skool blues and new skool edge in his guitar work, and Jman, the Pork Pie Professor, pounds the pocket in arena rock style. It's fuel for the rock and roll soul.
