Dec 2003 Ep1 was recorded and released 5 songs inlcuding the hit songs "Security of Mind" which was on regular rotation on Zfm in Witchita, KS and a homemade music video was also made for that song.
In December 2004 Ep2 was recorded and released with 5 songs and became a turning point with the band. The cd made its way to New Jersey where "Lights Out" and "Jesus Song" are on heavy rotation top 20 songs on WXGN XFM and "Leaving the Pain Behind" is on medium rotation and those songs are being requested daily.

Most of the band started out heavily influenced by MxPx and pure punk rock was the foundation to wanting to make music as time progress styles began to form and our musical ability started to surpass that cliché 3-chord punk rhythm. AfterEight began moving towards being more technical but still simple. Influenced by such bands as Thrice, Story of the Year, and Hoobstank. Being frustrated with mainstream vocal styling with everyone starting to have a deep raspy “Creed” sounding voice we wanted to do something different and blend in a soft melodic voice with a punk-rock type catchyness and get away from your typical vocal sound. afterEIGHT has found their unique style and is still striving daily to improve it.
