Bio

Jofrey Delansig and Shane Powell met at Auburn's Best Cafe/Annex in the late 90s. While playing together in a couple of different bands they developed a friendship and musical bond. For a number of tumultuous years they wrote songs and worked as a duo while searching for others to join the band. In 2007 Shane placed an add on Craigslist for a drummer. Within 10 minutes a response came from Patrick Casey. He soon joined Aftereon. The sound was really coming together but ended abruptly in 2008 when life circumstances intervened. The future of the band was uncertain. The three went their separate ways...

In 2009 Shane and Jofrey began to talk about getting the band going again. They had lost touch with Patrick. Shane saw on Facebook that Patrick had begun drumming for a different band. So the search was on to put together a new line-up. In October '09 Shane contacted his friend Dustin Holaday to see if he'd like to play guitar in the band. Dustin joined and suggested his friend Jason for drums.

The band played a handful of shows in Seattle and Tacoma and began recording an EP of 7 songs. Abruptly Dustin's job threatened to take him out of state so he would no longer be present to play guitar. Jason stuck around for a while but decided this was not the band for him so he left. Dustin ended up staying in Washington but felt let to start his own band, Love and Law.

Patrick had been listening to the songs over the last few years and wanted to play drums again for Aftereon. He noticed that the band was playing again and contacted Jofrey and Shane when he saw that Jason had left. The three began rehearsing and found they were on the same wavelength. Aftereon was reborn. The story continues in real time...Stay tuned.
