AfterSummer began in late August of 2001 when High School friends Jose, Joseph and Manny formed a melodic rock/metal band out of the necessities of friendship, musical interest and the desire to shape the world through artistic expression. The band first started off playing a hybrid style of underground metal core combined with Spanish/English style lyrics that quickly helped them stake a name for themselves as originators in a scene littered with numerous knock-off artist. Through the course of time and expansion of influences, their sound has developed into a smooth grind of metal, groove driven melodies and highly contagious hooks that leave the listeners aching for more. In early 2009 after various lineup changes, long time friend and current bassist Paco joined the group to help solidify the membership. With sheer determination, a tireless work ethic and DYI attitude, AfterSummer has been able to land spots opening for numerous national touring artist in North America and Mexico ranging from Seplutula, August Burns Red and scores of well known bands throughout Mexico. As of late 2009, AfterSummer will begin work on their full length LP, scheduled to be released in early 2010.
