"“I Believe”, This CD Sizzles"

There’s a reason After the Ashes became one of the most requested bands on Carol Lowery’s Cygnus Radio show before their CD even came out, and it has nothing to do with free beer. This band from Flint, MI oozes talent on their 12 track freshman effort. From the heavy opening track “1000 Years” to the very radio friendly melodic hard rock “I Believe”, this CD sizzles. The final track, “Stars With Angel Wings/The Greatest of All” showcases the bands softer side with a stunning power ballad which highlights Bryan Kelly and Jamie Lane’s lucid vocal harmonies. Keep an eye out for this band--they plan on making a swing through Central Florida a bit later in the year.

"When a Band Stands Out"

As a listener of many great bands for many years, you learn to recognize when a band stands out amongst all the others. This is what I found to be true with After the Ashes. The song 1,000 Years grabbed my attention, then, I get Who I Am, Then right when I thought it couldn't get any better I get "I Believe" I was totally blown away! Needless to say it seemed I had fallen upon a wealth of talent. They will be a power to be reckoned with in this strenuous time in the music industry.

Bio

In early 2005 in the ashes of many other bands they had each seen crash and burn, guitarist Rick Jackson, guitarist/vocalist Jamie Lane, Bassist/vocalist Bryan Kelly and drummer Del Hall came together for the first time in a collective soup of talent. Almost as soon as they struck their first chords together they felt a chemical reaction that none of them had ever experienced before. Right away they knew it was something extraordinary. The musicianship was tight and the music seemed to just flow out as if they had been born to play together. The vocal styles of Bryan Kelly and Jamie Lane meld together like the two voices where designed to harmonize with each other. Toss in some fills by drummer Del Hall and some screamin guitar leads by Rick Jackson and the recipe creates magic that your ears can appreciate. Now appropriately named "After the Ashes", the band is made up of remnants of such phenomenal bands as Six Foot Soul, DUST, Dunahmus and Far From Over and is the product of years of live experience and touring. With over 14 studio albums between them, they have had occasion to share the stage with some of the biggest names in music including: Skid Row, Vince Neil, Anthrax, Def Leppard, Sebastian Bach, Dark New Day, Jackyl, Stuck Mojo, Slaughter, Ted Nugent, Warrant, Bret Michaels, Quiet Riot and many more. Their unparalleled attitude and energetic live performance has created a rabid following of fans with simple word of mouth alone. After the Ashes looks forward to the release of their debut c.d. this winter and plans are in the making for a spring/summer tour of the United States. The evolution has begun...
