Bio

After The Burn is a punk rock band based in the Jersey Shore, formed  in early 2014.

Honing their sound from a multitude of genres; from Surf Rock, Garage Rock, & Punk Rock, to Hardcore Punk & traditional Rock N' Roll. The band has been building a strong following, built on their live performances. Performances that showcase their catchy punk rock tunes with meaningful lyrics, that reflect the everyday life of ordinary people, not unlike their own. In the Summer of 2014 the band brought 4 of those tunes into EightSixteen Studios and emerged with The Eternal Embrace EP (Produced by Pat Noon). In December, the band was featured as "Band Of The Week", at WRAT 95.9 The Rat. And Nikki Black at WRAT called After The Burn, "The East Coast Social Distortion". That same month the band was nominated for Best Punk Rock Band at The Asbury Music Awards.

Michael Caputo (Vox, Lead & Rhythm Guitar) (Void Control), and Mike Ramirez (Rhythm & Lead Guitar) (The Despised, Ash Monday), have played hundreds of local shows. Ramirez’s band The Despised were a late 90’s pop-punk outfit signed to Black Pumpkin Records. There they released the album 1999 and toured extensively up and down the east coast. Michael’s band Void Control were a So.Cal. inspired punk band similar to the Adolescents. They released a number of DIY releases, including their “Self-Titled” LP which was distributed by 17cm Records out of NJ. They gigged out relentlessly throughout the tri-state area and toured in support of DOA and the Dickies. Drummer, Eddie Scagnetti (Drums; Rocket Fuel Is The Key, Cher U.K., Fifteen Minutes Fast), (Guitar/Vox; The Twilight Vigil), (Bass; Filmstar) has extensive touring, and recording experience, performing multiple times at SXSW, Spirit Fest, and MRMF. Sharing the stage with: Stabbing Westward, Royal Trux, Kyuss, Jimmy Eat World, Goldfinger, Unsane, Today Is The Day, Slipknot, Reverend Horton Heat, Grahm Parker, Dropkick Murphy’s, Joan Jett, Frank Black & The Catholics, The Smithereens, A Flock of Seagulls, and many more. Bassist, Chris Walters is a super tall version of Arthur Kane, used to play hockey, and likes Rise Against

After The Burn has a tight set of catchy guitar driven rockers, a follow up EP to The Eternal Embrace titled Frustrate On Repeat coming out late January 2017, and plans to tour the eastern half of the US.
